About the position

As a Domestic Customer Service Representative, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer support related to domestic transportation services. This role involves acting as the main point of contact for clients, addressing inquiries, and ensuring the smooth operation of domestic trucking services.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries, concerns, and requests related to domestic trucking services.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to customer communications via phone, email, and other channels.
  • Coordinate and track domestic shipments, ensuring timely pickup and delivery according to customer requirements.
  • Proactively monitor shipment statuses and address any issues or delays to minimize disruptions.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams such as operations, dispatch, and drivers to ensure seamless execution of transportation services.
  • Provide accurate and timely updates to customers regarding the status of their shipments and any relevant information.
  • Maintain thorough documentation of customer interactions, transactions, and shipment details in the company's systems.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to the enhancement of customer service procedures.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in logistics or related fields is a plus.
  • 1-3 years experience in a customer service role, preferably within the Logistics or Transportation industry.
  • Strong knowledge of domestic trucking operations, including terminology, regulations, and best practices.
  • Truck brokerage experience is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively interact with customers and internal teams.
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to addressing customer needs and resolving issues.
  • Proficiency in computer applications such as MS Office and experience with logistics software or systems.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and willingness to work occasional evenings or weekends as needed.
  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in logistics or transportation industry is a plus.
  • Additional training in customer service or related fields.
