The Parts Counter Person at Don 'K' Whitefish Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram Chevrolet Subaru is responsible for providing exceptional customer service and managing the sale and delivery of parts and accessories. This role is crucial for the efficient operation of the dealership's parts department, requiring strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with technicians and service advisors. Responsibilities

  • Act as a goodwill ambassador for the dealership by promoting professionalism and excellent customer satisfaction skills.
  • Maintain efficient communications within the department and between departments.
  • Promote harmony and team spirit with all other departments.
  • Look up and distribute parts to technicians and counter customers, ensuring parts are billed out correctly.
  • Assist service advisors in delivering parts to technicians in a timely manner.
  • Follow prescribed cash, credit, and check processing procedures of the dealership.
  • Process cores, warranties, and new return merchandise as required at the point of sale.
  • Code and bill out external vendor's invoices.
  • Stay current on all factory training, keeping certifications updated and in the current year.
  • Attend training as prescribed by management to maintain proficiency in the job description.
  • Perform a variety of customer service and stocking duties related to the receiving, sale, and delivery of parts.
  • Help keep the parts department clean and free of debris.
  • Perform all duties in a safe manner following all company safety guidelines and policies.
  • Perform other duties as requested or required.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Preferred two years in a dealership parts environment.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Negotiation skills.
  • Basic accounting skills.
  • Computer skills.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting up to 50lbs.

Nice-to-haves

  • Dealertrack computer experience preferred.
