About the position
The Domestic Services Aide position involves performing a variety of housekeeping and dietary services to ensure a healthy and clean environment for patients and staff at the Kalamazoo Psychiatric Hospital. The role includes tasks related to linen management and maintaining cleanliness in patient and non-patient care areas.
Responsibilities
- Perform housekeeping and dietary services to maintain a clean and safe environment for patients and staff.
- Assist in the storage and dispersing of patient property.
- Complete tasks in the clean linen room, including pick-up and delivery of linen carts.
- Unload and load linen onto/off of linen carts and transport them as needed.
- Inventory and assess linen supplies, replenishing as necessary.
- Maintain a clean and organized clean linen room.
Requirements
- No specific amount of formal education is required.
- Eighteen months of experience equivalent to a Domestic Services Aide 5 is required for the E6 level.
