About the position

The Domestic Violence Intervention Program Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the Domestic Violence Intervention Program (DVIP) and Choices programs, providing mental health assessments, and facilitating individual and group therapy for individuals who have been domestically violent. This part-time position requires collaboration with various stakeholders, including the Greene County Juvenile Court, and involves supervising interns and maintaining clinical records. The role emphasizes confidentiality, respect for clients, and a commitment to the mission of the Family Violence Prevention Center.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the Domestic Violence Intervention Program and Choices, including conducting mental health assessments and facilitating group therapy programs.
  • Prepare for group sessions weekly and ensure timely communication with referral sources.
  • Participate in the Groups committee and Performance Improvement initiatives.
  • Supervise graduate interns in the DVIP Program, providing weekly supervision.
  • Coordinate services with the Greene County Juvenile Court Assessment and Intervention Center, attending weekly MDT meetings and coordinating referrals for trauma-informed services.
  • Provide education and training on domestic violence dynamics to professionals and conduct educational programs as assigned.
  • Maintain up-to-date clinical records and documentation per mental health standards, including in the Electronic Health Record and client service database.
  • Participate in the Performance Improvement Committee and provide quarterly performance improvement reports.
  • Maintain professional licensure and supervise DVIP Counselors and assigned interns.
  • Prepare and deliver speeches to community groups and assist with community education and outreach efforts.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Social Work or Counseling required.
  • 2-3 years of clinical experience providing group and individual counseling to diverse populations.
  • Knowledge of the domestic violence field preferred.
  • OCSWMFT Licensure required.

  • Experience in supervising graduate interns.
  • Knowledge of trauma-informed care and crisis intervention techniques.
