About the position

The Dominion House Program Manager is responsible for providing leadership and supervision at a nonprofit residential group home in Schenectady, NY. This role involves overseeing a program that serves 12 adults with severe mental illnesses and co-occurring disorders, focusing on their stabilization and skill development for independent living. The manager will ensure that services are client-centered and compliant with regulations while fostering a supportive environment for both clients and staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide program oversight including evaluation of client referrals and admissions.
• Communicate and collaborate with service providers and family members.
• Oversee service provisions that are client-centered and focused on transition.
• Administer Medicaid billable services and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Maintain a safe and comfortable community residence and oversee the program budget.
• Train and develop staff, providing leadership and supervision to 10 staff members including two Assistant Program Directors/Managers.
• Ensure the group home is maintained in a safe and healthy manner with the assistance of clients and the team.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in human services preferred, or extensive experience in human services combined with education.
• Three years' experience working in a residential setting preferably with people who have a diagnosis of mental illness.
• Two years' supervisory experience required.
• Valid and insurable driver's license and provide your own transportation.
• Experience with electronic records.
• Experience with crisis intervention and prevention.
• Strong leadership ability.
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
