About the position

The Donation Attendant at Goodwill Industries of Central Oklahoma is responsible for managing the intake of donated goods, ensuring quality control, and providing excellent customer service. This role plays a crucial part in supporting Goodwill's mission to help individuals overcome employment challenges by facilitating the donation process and maintaining a clean and organized work environment.

Responsibilities

• Transport donated goods from customer vehicles and GICO trucks.
• Make decisions about the quality of donations and communicate acceptance or decline to customers.
• Greet the public in a professional and cheerful manner, providing detailed written receipts.
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in work and public areas.
• Ensure GICO equipment and property are in good working condition and adhere to quality control standards.
• Open, close, and secure the ADC at the end of shifts.
• Prepare and submit daily activity reports, tallies, and inventories as assigned.
• Familiarize with and adhere to Goodwill Industries of Central OK safety policies and procedures, attending necessary safety training sessions.
• Demonstrate punctual and dependable attendance.
• Attend required training sessions.
• Abide by management's policies and procedures.

Requirements

• GED or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in customer service or interaction preferred.
• Clear communication skills with supervisors, truck drivers, and customers.
• Ability to work well with co-workers and follow instructions from supervisors.
• Ability to read and complete paperwork accurately.
• Demonstrated dependability through good attendance and adherence to timelines and schedules.
• Good decision-making skills.
