About the position

The Donation Attendant at The Salvation Army (TSA) Adult Rehabilitation Center (ARC) plays a crucial role in supporting the organization's mission by managing the donation process. This position involves maintaining the donation area, assisting donors, and ensuring that donated items are properly sorted and stored. The role emphasizes customer service, teamwork, and the importance of contributing to the success of the rehabilitation program.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining and cleaning up the area in and around the Donation trailer/pod at the beginning and end of each shift.
• Assisting the donor in the receipt of donated items and providing receipts.
• Maintaining all reports and paperwork as instructed by the Supervisor.
• Separating and sorting all donated material into the proper containers and properly stacking material as instructed by the Supervisor.
• Assisting TSA PA/Drivers with loading donations onto trucks as necessary.
• Informing the supervisor of needed items prior to running out (i.e.: brooms, receipts, totes, carts, etc.).
• Securing and locking the Donation trailer/pod at the end of each shift.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED.
• Must pass a background check, which will include Criminal History and Sex Offender Registry.
• Ability to read and write and to understand and follow both written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to communicate effectively with management, fellow store employees, customers, and donors.
• 1 - 2 years of warehouse experience preferred.
