About the position

The Donation Door Attendant plays a crucial role in providing excellent service to donors in a fast-paced environment. This position involves greeting and assisting donors, unloading donations, and ensuring that all items are sorted and treated with respect. The attendant is responsible for maintaining cleanliness in donation areas and striving to meet daily operational goals while adhering to established best practices.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist donors in a fast-paced environment.
• Unload vehicles of donations and treat donations with respect.
• Sort donations into proper containers by categories.
• Clean donation areas, both inside and out.
• Strive to meet daily goals and perform duties according to established Best Practices of ESGW.
• Assist in all aspects of operations as directed.

Requirements

• Requires standing, stooping, bending, and carrying for entire shift (excluding break times).
• Requires the use of hands for simple grasping, pushing and pulling, and fine manipulation.
• Requires moving 20-100 pounds by lifting, team lifting, or with mechanical assistance.
• Requires tolerance to extreme changes in temperature and humidity.
• Ability to move independently or with reasonable accommodation within the facility and community.
• Applicant must be physically and mentally able to perform all requirements of the job.
• Work schedule may include days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Completion of a background check is required.
