About the position
The Donation Door Lead at Goodwill Industries of Southwest Florida is responsible for overseeing the Donation Door area, ensuring efficient processing of donations while providing excellent customer service. This full-time position involves operating a forklift, assisting Donation Door Attendants, and adhering to Kaizen guidelines to maintain operational standards.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the Donation Door area and ensure efficient processing of donations.
- Operate a forklift and assist Donation Door Attendants with receiving, recording, and sorting donations.
- Ensure compliance with Kaizen guidelines and principles as outlined in audits and drills.
- Provide excellent customer service and support to donors and team members.
- Perform processing, cleaning, and maintenance of the Donation Door area.
- Build fixtures and equipment as needed and perform other duties as instructed by the supervisor.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Forklift certification preferred.
- Experience in retail and/or stock handling is beneficial.
- Ability to operate a forklift, pallet jack, and other equipment.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Sufficient mobility to perform physical tasks such as bending, kneeling, and standing for long periods.
- Basic math skills and ability to lift at least 40 pounds frequently, and occasionally team lift up to 100 pounds.
