About the position
The Donation Processor at Alabama Goodwill Industries Inc. is responsible for processing and sorting donations under the direction of the store manager. This role involves interacting with donors, maintaining a clean processing area, and ensuring that donations are sorted appropriately based on quality.
Responsibilities
- Greet and assist donors/customers
- Receive incoming donations
- Issue donation receipts
- Sort donations as they arrive in proper carts or bins
- Make proper determinations regarding the quality of donations
- Sort and box identified salvage items
- Keep the processing area clean and safe
- Maintain a well-groomed appearance and appropriate dress code including name badge
- Perform other duties as assigned by store management
Requirements
- Ability to provide excellent customer service
- Ability to adhere to the organization's Core Principles
- Knowledge of retail and/or stock handling
- Ability to listen and follow directions
- Previous retail and/or stock handling experience is preferred
