About the position

The Donor Acquisition Manager is a pivotal role within Goodwill's Donated Goods Retail department, responsible for developing and nurturing new sources of donation partnerships to enhance sales revenue. This position oversees Store Fronts, Donation Centers, and Donation Sites, focusing on creating and implementing strategies that increase donations through various channels, including corporate partnerships, community initiatives, and educational drives. The role requires a proactive approach to establish strategic partnerships with local governments, corporations, organizations, and educational institutions, driving community engagement to boost donor volume and overall sales revenue. In this capacity, the Donor Acquisition Manager will innovate and implement new donation acquisition strategies, such as school drives and community-based initiatives, to expand the donor base. Collaboration with municipal governments and local authorities is essential to elevate awareness of Goodwill's initiatives and increase participation in community events. The manager will also participate in program budgets and policy matters, setting ambitious donation acquisition targets and monitoring progress to ensure alignment with strategic goals. The role involves assessing underperforming donation locations and implementing strategic recommendations to enhance promotion and marketing efforts. The manager will oversee comprehensive donation tracking, maintaining a detailed database of all donation sources and ensuring accurate data entry to support strategic decision-making. A solutions-oriented approach is crucial for identifying and resolving issues efficiently, while superior organizational and time management skills are necessary for developing and executing action plans and setting strategic goals. Additionally, the Donor Acquisition Manager will coordinate and communicate a comprehensive annual calendar of donation events, engaging community participants to maximize involvement and impact. The position requires proficiency in safety guidelines and the ability to draft routine reports and correspondence effectively. The manager will also support Donor Service Representatives to enhance customer relations and ensure smooth operations, while promoting a safe workplace environment and communicating progress and concerns to the VP of Operations and Logistics.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and cultivate strategic partnerships with local governments, corporations, organizations, educational institutions, and religious organizations.
  • Drive community engagement and corporate partnerships to enhance donor volume and overall sales revenue.
  • Innovate and implement new donation acquisition strategies, including school drives and community-based initiatives.
  • Collaborate closely with municipal governments and local authorities to elevate awareness of Goodwill's initiatives.
  • Participate in program budgets and policy matters, setting ambitious donation acquisition targets.
  • Monitor and evaluate progress to ensure alignment with strategic goals.
  • Assess underperforming donation locations and implement strategic recommendations for enhanced promotion and marketing.
  • Oversee comprehensive donation tracking and maintain a detailed database of all donation sources.
  • Identify and resolve issues efficiently with a solutions-oriented approach.
  • Exhibit superior organizational and time management skills, developing and executing realistic action plans.
  • Develop, coordinate, and communicate a comprehensive annual calendar of donation events.
  • Provide assistance and enhance customer relations by supporting Donor Service Representatives.
  • Assist in identifying and establishing new locations for Attended Donation Centers.
  • Promote an environment of workplace safety and ensure adherence to safety requirements.
  • Communicate progress, problems, and concerns to the VP of Operations and Logistics.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in relevant field; or Associates Degree with two (2) years' experience in the relevant field; or HSD/GED and four (4) years' relevant experience.
  • Two (2) years experience in sales/account development utilizing cold calling techniques.
  • Proven record of customer and client relationships in commercial real estate or related field.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and satisfactorily complete a motor vehicle check.
  • Ability to travel within GKA territory.
  • Ability to tow a 28ft non CDL trailer to events is a plus.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft products.
  • Strong math aptitude.
  • High level of professionalism and ability to uphold organizational values.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) highly desirable.
