About the position

The Donor Care Specialist, Driver, Mobile is responsible for medical screening, phlebotomy, and donor care within the service area, ensuring compliance with standard operating procedures and organizational policies. This role supports community blood needs by converting donors and providing safe transportation of staff and supplies. The position emphasizes customer service and adherence to BioBridge Global's core values.

Responsibilities

  • Report to work as scheduled.
  • Display a professional image and positive demeanor that contributes to the success of the organization.
  • Deliver an outstanding donation experience by exceeding donor expectations.
  • Maintain regulatory compliance by successfully completing training and competency assignments on time.
  • Safely transport the team, equipment and supplies to and from blood drive locations.
  • Load, unload, setup and pack up the mobile collection equipment.
  • Perform the quality control function (including documentation).
  • Determine donor eligibility through comprehensive donor verification, medical history interview and medical screening procedures.
  • Obtain donor consent prior to donation.
  • Perform whole blood phlebotomy and automated collection (apheresis) procedures.
  • Assess, treat and report adverse donor reactions (including documentation).
  • Perform record review and data entry.
  • Pack collected blood products according to defined manufacturing plans.
  • Ensure all necessary records and blood products are legible, labeled accurately and complete.
  • Maintain a good working relationship with co‐workers and supervisor.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Requires a high school diploma or general equivalency diploma.
  • Valid United States Driver's License.
  • Phlebotomy certification preferred.
  • Prefer phlebotomy experience in a blood or plasma center.

Nice-to-haves

  • Working knowledge of donor processing criteria.
  • Familiarity with the community and area serviced.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and geography.
