About The Position

The Donor Center Phlebotomist 2 is responsible for ensuring a smooth and efficient donor flow during blood donation processes. This role involves determining donor acceptability, performing sterile venipuncture, providing excellent customer service, and ensuring compliance with regulations and standard operating procedures. In the absence of a Supervisor, the Phlebotomist 2 will oversee collections staff and address any personnel or donor issues. The position also includes mentoring new hires and participating in special projects as needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year of general work experience, preferably with the public.
• Customer service experience required.
• Previous Phlebotomy 1 or blood banking experience or medical field experience.
• Background in a highly regulated industry.
• Computer knowledge.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Self-motivated and positive attitude with teamwork ability.
• Detail-oriented in document review and able to manage multiple tasks.

Nice To Haves

• Some college education is a plus.
• Bilingual skills are a plus.
• CDL driver license is a plus.

Responsibilities
