About the position

The Donor Database Manager at The Salvation Army Intermountain Division is responsible for managing the customer relationship management (CRM) database system, ensuring data accuracy, and supporting various development initiatives. This role involves collaboration with multiple departments to maintain donor records, generate reports, and conduct prospect research, all while upholding the mission of The Salvation Army.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the customer relationship management database system (CRM) by running regular data accuracy reports and identifying donor accuracy projects.
  • Coordinate with THQ Donor Management and Divisional Finance Department to ensure accuracy of data, systems, and controls in accordance with TSA policy.
  • Ensure the efficient performance of the centralized donor management database systems and associated software.
  • Collaborate with Donor Services Manager to maintain integrity of donor records by updating contact information and resolving duplicates.
  • Evaluate, develop, and maintain the divisional reporting suite to provide accurate reports to stakeholders.
  • Identify gaps within the reporting library and create reports to support Major Gifts, Corporate Relations, Gift Planning, and Grants.
  • Develop and maintain visual dashboards using Business Intelligence software, Sisense.
  • Collaborate with data stakeholders to ensure accurate integration of CRM data in visual dashboards.
  • Analyze direct marketing and development revenue data to provide suggestions for strategic goals.
  • Develop and maintain a prospect research system for donor profile information.
  • Generate ad hoc reports as requested by various departments related to campaign and income analysis.
  • Generate and maintain role function documentation for training and onboarding within the Donor Services Team.

Requirements

  • Prior customer relationship management (CRM) database and report building software experience required.
  • SQL and business intelligence software experience required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Communications, or equivalent work experience preferred.
  • Direct marketing experience is a plus.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, with excellent Microsoft Excel and Word skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with direct marketing strategies.
  • Familiarity with donor research tools such as Donor Search.
