About the position
The Donor Development Relations Associate at Second Chance Animal Services is a crucial role focused on expanding the organization's donor base and fostering relationships with both potential and existing donors. This position supports the mission of providing high-quality veterinary care and community programs by assisting in event planning and managing donations for the pet food pantry and development office.
Responsibilities
- Cultivate relationships with current donors to strengthen long-term engagement and identify new donor opportunities.
- Proactively reach out to potential donors to expand the donor base.
- Assist with the planning and execution of fundraising events to support Second Chance's mission.
- Support the development team by managing incoming donations, including financial contributions, pet food, and other supplies.
- Help coordinate and manage the pet food pantry, ensuring that donations are organized and distributed effectively.
- Maintain accurate donor records and provide regular updates to the development team on donor engagement efforts.
- Collaborate with internal teams to share the impact of donor contributions through updates and stories that showcase the difference Second Chance makes in the community.
Requirements
- Experience in donor relations, fundraising, or sales is preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a passion for building strong relationships.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
