The Donor Door Greeter at Goodwill Industries of the Southern Rivers, Inc. plays a vital role in welcoming donors and assisting customers at the retail store. This part-time position involves efficiently processing donations, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring a clean and organized work environment. The role is integral to the community-focused mission of Goodwill, which aims to empower individuals and families through various services.

Responsibilities

• Greets donors quickly and efficiently with excellent customer service.
• Receives donated goods from donors by unloading vehicles and carrying in donated items.
• Provides receipts to donors and maintains accurate donation records using a hand-held device.
• Organizes donations into bins as they are brought in to assist with accurate processing.
• Performs general housekeeping duties and keeps the work area neat and clean.
• Assists truck drivers when loading and unloading donations.
• Works in other areas of the store as requested by the leadership team.

Requirements

• Average math skills.
• Ability to use a hand-held electronic device.
• Ability to lift up to 40lbs.
• Prior experience working in a retail or customer service-related environment; preferred.
• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED), preferred.
• Warehouse experience, preferred.
