As the Donor Engagement Officer, you'll develop and implement strategies to maintain and grow CCVLP's funding base, with a particular focus on unrestricted operating funds. You'll cultivate relationships with current and prospective donors, explore opportunities for planned giving, and oversee the implementation of a donor tracking database. This role works collaboratively with CCVLP's leadership team and board of directors to identify and engage new funding sources while fostering strong relationships with existing supporters.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement effective donor stewardship programs, including personalized strategies to acknowledge and celebrate contributions.
  • Research, propose, and implement a donor tracking database to improve management and engagement.
  • Advocate for CCVLP as a recipient of planned estate giving and explore connections with underrepresented donor sectors.
  • Collaborate with the leadership team to identify funding sources aligned with CCVLP's equity principles.
  • Participate in community events, deliver presentations, and build relationships with current and prospective donors.
  • Evaluate CCVLP fundraising efforts and provide recommendations for sustainability and growth.
  • Support grant reporting and research as time permits.

Requirements

  • Experience in donor engagement, fundraising, or related work in a nonprofit setting.
  • Strong interpersonal and storytelling skills to connect with diverse donors and communicate CCVLP's mission.
  • Proven ability to track and analyze donor data to improve fundraising strategies.
  • Commitment to equity and inclusion, and a passion for supporting CCVLP's mission and vision.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and a collaborative, forward-thinking approach.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in customer relations, marketing, sales, public relations, or community engagement.

Benefits

  • Competitive salary range of $65,000 - $67,080 per year.
  • Support for applicants needing assistance in applying transferable skills to the role.
