About the position

The Donor Recruitment Coordinator at the American Red Cross plays a vital role in supporting blood drives by acting as a liaison between sponsor groups, donor recruitment staff, and customers. This position is focused on ensuring effective communication and coordination for blood drive activities, while also providing guidance and support to volunteers. The role is integral to the mission of the Red Cross, contributing to the organization's efforts in saving lives and serving communities.

Responsibilities

  • Confirm all information regarding blood drives with blood drive coordinators and communicate details to production planning staff.
  • Serve as a liaison between the customer and the appropriate staff, handling inquiries and requests professionally and timely.
  • Prepare and maintain all account files, including correspondence and operational records, to ensure accurate documentation of blood drive activity.
  • Localize blood drive collateral using approved templates and send thank you notes to customers to encourage future participation.
  • Handle all inside sales support for the assigned Recruitment District team, including incoming calls and coordination of meetings.
  • Manage the donor pre-sign up process and review status reports for accuracy.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum 3 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
  • Basic knowledge of computer office products, including word processing, spreadsheets, and databases.
  • Outstanding organizational and communication skills.
  • Effective problem-solving skills in managing multiple priorities.
  • Valid driver's license and good driving record required.

Nice-to-haves

  • Previous experience in a sales support or administrative assistant role.
  • Great customer service skills.
