In this role, you will be responsible for thoroughly examining and grading donated goods to ensure they are suitable for sale in our retail stores. This position requires you to process goods efficiently in a fast-paced environment while adhering to our standard operating procedures. You will be expected to maintain a professional demeanor, provide excellent customer service, and work collaboratively with your peers to meet production goals. Responsibilities

  • Examine and grade donated goods for sale in Goodwill retail stores.
  • Process goods efficiently to meet production goals in a fast-paced environment.
  • Display a professional and patient attitude with guests.
  • Provide donation receipts to guests at the time of donation.
  • Handle guest questions and resolve problems according to standard operating procedures.
  • Sort donations into designated categories appropriately.
  • Communicate effectively with management when necessary.
  • Perform work tasks according to training playbooks and work instructions.
  • Evaluate and navigate decisions effectively in the workplace.
  • Promote cooperation and teamwork with peers.
  • Maintain a clean and organized donation center area.
  • Adhere to safety and security practices, reporting hazards to management.
  • Assist truck drivers with loading and unloading donations.
  • Attend and complete all required trainings and meetings.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • One year or more of production experience preferred.
  • Ability to foster a healthy team culture focused on exceptional guest experience.
  • Basic math and reading skills are required.
  • Good oral and written communication skills in English are necessary.
  • Interpersonal skills are essential for effective communication with guests and team members.
  • Must be 18 years or older to operate a forklift.
