About the position

We are seeking a skilled door and Hardware Estimator for a leading provider of architectural door and hardware solutions, specializing in high-quality products from trusted brands such as Assa Abloy and Allegion. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in estimating and quoting door and hardware products from Assa Abloy and Allegion. This role will involve analyzing project specifications, selecting appropriate products, and preparing accurate cost estimates for commercial and residential construction projects. The estimator will play a crucial role in ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget by providing precise and detailed estimates that reflect the true costs of materials, labor, and installation. In this position, the estimator will be responsible for reviewing project plans, specifications, and drawings to determine door and hardware requirements. Collaboration with architects, contractors, and clients will be essential to understand project needs and preferences. The estimator will utilize their knowledge of Assa Abloy and Allegion products to select appropriate hardware solutions for each project, ensuring that the selected products meet both functional and aesthetic requirements. Additionally, the estimator will prepare detailed cost estimates and quotations, considering various factors such as materials, labor, and installation requirements. Coordination with suppliers and vendors to obtain pricing and availability of products will also be a key responsibility. The estimator will provide technical support and assistance to sales and project management teams as needed, ensuring that all stakeholders are informed and aligned throughout the project lifecycle. This role requires a detail-oriented and organized individual who can manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining a high level of accuracy and quality in their work.

Responsibilities

• Review project plans, specifications, and drawings to determine door and hardware requirements.

Requirements

• Previous experience in door and hardware estimation
• Deep understanding of commercial and residential construction processes and building codes
• Strong analytical and mathematical skills with the ability to accurately calculate costs and quantities
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
• Proficiency in computer software applications, including Microsoft Excel and estimating software
• Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
