About the position

We are seeking a skilled door and Hardware Estimator for a leading provider of architectural door and hardware solutions, specializing in high-quality products from trusted brands such as Assa Abloy and Allegion. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in estimating and quoting door and hardware products from Assa Abloy and Allegion. This role will involve analyzing project specifications, selecting appropriate products, and preparing accurate cost estimates for commercial and residential construction projects. The estimator will play a crucial role in ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget by providing precise estimates and collaborating closely with various stakeholders. In this position, the estimator will review project plans, specifications, and drawings to determine door and hardware requirements. They will collaborate with architects, contractors, and clients to understand project needs and preferences, ensuring that the selected products meet the specific requirements of each project. Utilizing their knowledge of Assa Abloy and Allegion products, the estimator will select appropriate hardware solutions tailored to the unique demands of each construction project. Additionally, the estimator will prepare detailed cost estimates and quotations, taking into account various factors such as materials, labor, and installation requirements. They will coordinate with suppliers and vendors to obtain pricing and availability of products, ensuring that all estimates are accurate and competitive. Providing technical support and assistance to sales and project management teams will also be a key responsibility, helping to facilitate smooth project execution and client satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Review project plans, specifications, and drawings to determine door and hardware requirements.
• Collaborate with architects, contractors, and clients to understand project needs and preferences.
• Utilize knowledge of Assa Abloy and Allegion products to select appropriate hardware solutions for each project.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates and quotations, considering factors such as materials, labor, and installation requirements.
• Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to obtain pricing and availability of products.
• Provide technical support and assistance to sales and project management teams as needed.

Requirements

• Previous experience in door and hardware estimation.
• Deep understanding of commercial and residential construction processes and building codes.
• Strong analytical and mathematical skills with the ability to accurately calculate costs and quantities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
• Proficiency in computer software applications, including Microsoft Excel and estimating software.
• Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
