About the position

We are seeking a skilled door and Hardware Estimator for a leading provider of architectural door and hardware solutions, specializing in high-quality products from trusted brands such as Assa Abloy and Allegion. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in estimating and quoting door and hardware products from Assa Abloy and Allegion. This role will involve analyzing project specifications, selecting appropriate products, and preparing accurate cost estimates for commercial and residential construction projects. The estimator will be responsible for ensuring that all estimates are precise and reflect the true costs associated with the project, including materials, labor, and installation requirements. This position requires a detail-oriented individual who can manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining a high level of accuracy and organization. The estimator will also need to provide technical support and assistance to sales and project management teams as needed, ensuring that all stakeholders are informed and aligned throughout the estimating process.

Responsibilities

  • Review project plans, specifications, and drawings to determine door and hardware requirements.
  • Collaborate with architects, contractors, and clients to understand project needs and preferences.
  • Utilize knowledge of Assa Abloy and Allegion products to select appropriate hardware solutions for each project.
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates and quotations, considering factors such as materials, labor, and installation requirements.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to obtain pricing and availability of products.
  • Provide technical support and assistance to sales and project management teams as needed.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in door and hardware estimation.
  • Deep understanding of commercial and residential construction processes and building codes.
  • Strong analytical and mathematical skills with the ability to accurately calculate costs and quantities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in computer software applications, including Microsoft Excel and estimating software.
  • Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
