About the position

The Doorman at Omni Atlanta Hotel at Centennial Park plays a crucial role in providing exceptional guest service by welcoming guests, assisting with their baggage, and managing the flow of traffic in the Motor Lobby. This position is vital for creating a positive first impression and ensuring a smooth arrival experience for hotel guests.

Responsibilities

  • Greet all guests and welcome them to the hotel.
  • Unload baggage from cars or taxis and bring it inside to the Bellstand.
  • Tag guest baggage with proper claim checks and provide guests with their claim tickets.
  • Direct guests to the Front Desk.
  • Call taxis for guests as needed.
  • Assist the Bell Captain with luggage storage and retrieval.
  • Load baggage into cars or taxis for departing guests, thanking them for choosing the hotel.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly appearance of the work area at all times.
  • Control the traffic flow in and out of the Motor Lobby.
  • Notify the Front Desk and Guest Services of VIP arrivals whenever possible.
  • Raise, lower, and maintain flags as requested.
  • Ensure the work area is clean and clear of standing water, debris, or any objects that can obstruct job duties.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

  • High propensity for customer service.
  • Previous cash handling experience.
  • Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time.
  • May require working overnight shifts.
  • Computer skills (Synergy, Nucleus, Epitome, Vision, GoConcierge, Microsoft Office).
