About the position

The Delivery Assistant role at Havertys involves delivering and setting up furniture in customers' homes while ensuring a high level of customer service. The position emphasizes safety, teamwork, and integrity, with a focus on meeting customer expectations and maintaining performance standards.

Responsibilities

• Operate the delivery vehicle in a safe and courteous manner.
• Set up furniture and secure goods as needed.
• Maintain high performance levels by keeping within the customer time window.
• Accurately communicate and document the delivery transaction with customers using either a mobile device or provided paperwork.
• Unload or load products as needed at stores or warehouse.
• Assist in the warehouse or showroom if needed.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Must have a current Driver's License and a clean driving record with minimal moving violations.
• Must be willing and able to push, pull, and repeatedly team lift 150 pounds throughout your shift.
• Must be able to achieve DOT Certification (company paid).
• Must be able to pass background requirements.
