About the position
As a Doughnut Decorator at Krispy Kreme, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our doughnuts not only meet but exceed our quality and food safety standards. Your primary responsibility will be to inspect the doughnuts before they are packed for distribution to grocery shelves, ensuring that they are visually appealing and delicious. This involves adding fillings, icing, and toppings such as sprinkles to enhance their appearance and taste. You will also be responsible for maintaining a clean and sanitary work area, which is essential for food safety. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to learn about the doughnut-making process and how to operate the necessary equipment. Checking the labeling of packages and assisting your leader with various tasks will also be part of your daily duties. This position is ideal for individuals who thrive in a dynamic environment and prefer to stay active throughout their workday. You will be on the move, packing doughnuts, which may involve carrying and lifting boxes or cleaning supplies, as well as sweeping and mopping the work area. The physical demands of the job include the ability to lift weights of up to 25 pounds regularly and occasionally up to 50 pounds. The work environment can be warm and noisy due to the equipment used in the doughnut production process, so being comfortable in such conditions is important.

Requirements
- 2-4 years of experience in a food manufacturing or similar environment, particularly in food packing or processing.
- Ability to pack doughnuts gently without crushing them.
- Effective communication skills to interact with team members.
- Organizational skills to manage tasks efficiently.
- Basic math skills for labeling and packing processes.
- Dependability to ensure timely delivery of products to customers.
- High school diploma or GED is preferred.
