About the position

Akima Facilities Operations (AFO) is seeking an experienced DPAS Lead to provide strategic-level support for the Defense Property Accountability System (DPAS) program. This role involves program implementation planning and reporting support to the J41 Material Management Division Chief, the J4 Director, and other GO/SES level offices as required. The DPAS Lead will be responsible for creating various reports, including weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports, utilizing data visualization tools and correlating DPAS data with other Logistics Information Systems (LIS) currently used by USSOCOM. The position requires the individual to perform activities across multiple cross-functional areas, including implementation, material management, operations, continuous improvement, and process optimization. The DPAS Lead will maintain an operational calendar, project plans, and create presentations to meet both standard and non-standard reporting requirements. Additionally, the role involves providing financial reporting information generated from the DPAS system to various agencies within USSOCOM, such as SOFM and FIAR. The ideal candidate will employ matured interpersonal skills, demonstrating an action and solution-oriented approach to problem-solving in a fast-paced and fluid environment. The DPAS Lead will be expected to act on the government's intent with minimal direct guidance to achieve objectives. Proficiency in the entire Microsoft Office Suite is essential for managing workload requirements and producing administrative work products.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Logistics Management, Supply Chain, or a business-related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of combined experience with DOD or other federal agency in Financial Management, Program Management, IT, Material Management, or Logistics.
  • Minimum 3 years of item management experience.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in material management utilizing an LIS.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience as a government or civilian project or team lead.
  • DAU Lifecycle Logistics Level I certified.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Secret Clearance required on day one of performance.
