About the position

The DPI Global Cybersecurity Risk Apprentice at UL Solutions is a full-time apprenticeship program designed for individuals seeking to gain practical experience in cybersecurity and risk management. Over the course of 12 months, apprentices will learn from industry experts, participate in real-world scenarios, and develop a comprehensive understanding of global cyber threats and defense strategies. The role involves assisting in risk assessments, implementing risk controls, and contributing to vendor risk evaluations, all while adhering to professional ethics and security protocols.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in conducting information risk assessments for existing and new services.
  • Support the implementation and monitoring of risk controls.
  • Help gather and organize data for vendor risk assessments.
  • Participate in cross-functional team meetings to understand enterprise risk management.
  • Assist in preparing risk assessment reports and presentations.
  • Shadow experienced team members in vendor management activities.
  • Contribute to the maintenance of risk management documentation and databases.
  • Attend training sessions and workshops on risk management frameworks and best practices.
  • Support the team in day-to-day operations, including scheduling and basic data analysis tasks.

Requirements

  • Strong interpersonal skills and communication capabilities.
  • Technical background or understanding of operational and IT risks.
  • Ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
