Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history. Northrop Grumman's Space Systems - Propulsion Division is seeking an Electrical Drafter 3/4 to join our team. This position will be located at our location in Bacchus (West Valley), UT. The candidate will be responsible for the concept and layout of construction and fabrication drawings per Electrical Engineer's requirements. This includes preparing working drawings for construction and as-built drawings using AutoCAD by Autodesk, which encompasses P&ID's, conduit and lighting layouts, schematic and wiring (interconnection) diagrams, instrumentation loop sheets, conduit, grounding, and lightning protection plans. The role requires creating proper annotation and dimensioning in drawings and models, as well as the capability to read and understand blueprints from outside engineering firms and vendors. The drafter will interface with the review team to assure customer satisfaction with design and ensure the accuracy and clarity of construction documents, including checking for drawing completeness before issuing and following up to ensure that drawings were received and are satisfactory. Close collaboration with Engineers to create final drawings is essential, along with reviewing engineering drawings and designs for accuracy, manufacturability, and constructability. The position also supports continuous improvement and assists Operations and Process Engineering.
