The Foam Shop Department plays a crucial role in the company, where all skills, models, and designs are developed. The Drafter/CNC Machinist position supports the Foam Shop Foreman and Operations Manager in various activities that collaborate with other departments such as Sales, Customer Services, and Operations. This role requires the proper handling of materials and adherence to established policies and procedures as directed by the Foam Shop leadership team. The Drafter is expected to work closely with the Customer Service and Sales Teams to ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Verify proper operation of various machines such as CNC Technology, Routers, Shapers, 4D Router, and 8700 CNC.
• Develop accurate layouts, assembly drawings, and details.
• Research drawings, catalogs, and sketches to develop detailed dimensioned AutoCAD drawings.
• Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures.
• Perform each task, project, and design of production as determined by the Foam Shop Foreman and Operations Manager.
• Help maintain the equipment and report any issues.

Requirements

• 1-3 years plus experience in handling Styrofoam Material preferred.
• Proficiency in CNC language G-codes, M-Codes.
• Proficiency in Design Software AutoCAD, BobCAD-CAM, Rhinoceros 5.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge in electronic components.
• Minimum of a two-year associates degree, or equivalent experience is preferred.
• Proven organizational skills.
• Excellent verbal and communication skills.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Attention to details and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
