About the position

At Pauley Construction, the Drafter/Designer plays a crucial role in responding to design and documentation demands while meeting response time and output goals. This position is integral to the execution of projects and plans that support the organization's long-term drafting strategy. As a Drafter/Designer, you will participate in project teams, ensuring compliance with predetermined project deliverables and adhering to administrative guidance on project execution. You will also be responsible for identifying and addressing project issues and risks, actively participating in response plans to resolve them. Understanding current and future business goals, as well as ongoing issues, is essential for success in this role. The Drafter/Designer will work closely with various teams to ensure that all design and documentation requirements are met efficiently and effectively. This position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality in all deliverables. The role may also involve working after hours, on weekends, or being on-call as needed, reflecting the dynamic nature of the projects undertaken by Pauley Construction.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the execution of projects and plans supporting the organization's long-term drafting strategy
  • Participate on project teams and ensure compliance with predetermined project deliverables
  • Adhere to administrative guidance on project execution
  • Identify and course correct project issues and risks, participate in response plans to resolve
  • Understand current and future business goals and ongoing issues.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Authorization to work in the United States for this company
  • Must possess, or obtain upon employment, a valid driver's license
  • Must be able to pass a background check and company drug screening
  • Must be able to attend and pass all company required training as needed
  • 1 or more years of progressive experience in drafting - proficiency in AutoCAD
  • Experience with the principles and practices of fiber specific projects, network deployments and related fields
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Advanced training in the field
