About the position

The Drafter/Designer position at Actalent involves working as part of a technical team to create and revise technical drawings related to electrical distribution design. The role requires adherence to company and client drafting standards, as well as collaboration with designers, engineers, and project managers to ensure accurate and efficient project execution.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preparing new drawings and revising existing engineering drawings of basic components from specific sketches, layouts, or written directions.
• Adhere to company and client drafting standards and procedures.
• Follow ANSI standard drafting practices.
• Assist in drafting, design, and documentation for various projects.
• Utilize various drafting and design software.
• Assist with ad hoc projects as assigned by managers.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Experience with electrical substation design preferred but not necessary.
• Engineering team interface experience.
• Drafting skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Ability to access drafting software where projects are housed.
• Proficiency in using Bluebeam to access and review drawings.
• Attention to detail and a desire to see projects through to completion.
