About the position

Airswift is seeking a Drafter I to work in Lake Charles, LA, for a 1-year assignment that may be extended. The role involves executing detailed drawing designs using CAD software for various projects, ensuring compliance with drafting regulations and quality standards, and conducting site visits as necessary.

Responsibilities

• Execute detailed drawing designs using CAD software for projects involving Management of Change (MOC), Process Hazard Analysis (PHA), and Capital Projects.
• Demonstrate strong knowledge of drafting standards and processes.
• Ensure final design compliance with drafting regulations and quality standards.
• Conduct site visits as needed to gather and verify information essential for design work.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required; Degree in Technology with emphasis on drafting/design or equivalent preferred.
• 1-2 years of industry-related experience as a Drafter I; or 3+ years of experience as a Drafter II in a petrochemical or similar environment.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD (2016 or higher preferred) and Windows.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
• Proactive attitude toward problem-solving.
