About the position
The Architectural Drafter position at Lester Buildings involves creating detailed technical drawings of post frame buildings that align with customer specifications and industry standards. The buildings can serve various purposes, including farm, livestock, equine, hobby, and commercial uses. The role requires the preparation of construction drawings, shop orders, and bills of materials, as well as coordinating scheduling to meet the needs of customers, purchasing, manufacturing, and construction.
Responsibilities
- Preparation of construction drawings, shop orders, and bill of materials.
- Coordination of scheduling to meet customer, purchasing, manufacturing, and construction needs.
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Aided Design or a construction-related field.
- 2-3 years of drafting or work-related experience.
- Experience with AutoCAD software.
- Excellent attention to technical detail and thoroughness.
- Strong communication and computer skills.
- Highly motivated and ability to work as a team player.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with estimating is a plus.
