About the position

We are seeking a skilled drafter to join our growing team, focusing on creating detailed technical fireplace cabinetry drawings using Cabinet Vision software. This role involves collaboration with the lead designer to ensure accuracy in all drafting tasks, with an emphasis on understanding design principles and fireplace-specific details.

Responsibilities

• Create precise and detailed technical drawings using Cabinet Vision.
• Draft layouts for fireplace designs, ensuring compliance with industry codes and clearances.
• Revise drawings based on feedback from team members or changes in project scope.
• Maintain organized documentation of all drafts and revisions for future reference.
• Ensure all designs are built to specifications and meet quality standards.
• Conduct daily briefings to communicate effectively with shop staff, managing time schedules and priorities while meeting deadlines.

Requirements

• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members.
• Previous experience in a drafting role is preferred but not mandatory.
• A degree or certification in Drafting Technology or a related field is a plus.
