About the position

As a Drafter at NOV Fiberglass Systems in Conroe, TX, you will be responsible for creating, updating, and maintaining technical drawings while adhering to quality and safety standards. This role involves collaboration with engineering and product development teams to support the development of new tooling and equipment, as well as the maintenance of existing product drawings.

Responsibilities

• Work with Engineering to generate drawings for the development of new tooling and equipment or to upgrade existing equipment
• Work with Engineering and Product Development to create or maintain and revise product drawings as necessary
• Maintain drawing files in an organized manner
• Wear appropriate PPE when in required areas
• Comply with all NOV Company policies, guidelines, and procedures
• Comply with all HSE policies, guidelines and procedures
• Comply with all Quality policies, guidelines, and procedures
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent; associate degree preferred
• Experience in the drafting field preferred; Formal training in drafting or design may be substituted for experience
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD or equivalent
• Proficient with Microsoft Office
• Basic math and writing skills
• Ability to adapt and be cross-trained to learn all job duties as required
• Ability to learn technical repair and assembly guidelines and procedures
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to read drawings, instructions, or repair and assembly operations
