The Factory Support Drafter at Rise Modular, LLC plays a crucial role in the design and manufacturing process of modular construction units. This position is based in Owatonna, Minnesota, and is integral to the production of multi-family apartment and hospitality development projects. The primary responsibility of the Factory Support Drafter is to create detailed technical shop drawings that will be utilized by the construction labor force in the manufacturing facility. This involves using Revit Architecture, along with a specialized Revit add-in for wood framing, to ensure that all framing, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems are accurately coordinated based on the construction documents prepared by the design team. In this role, the Drafter will review Design Integration Documents and related materials to produce coordinated production drawings that meet the factory's needs. The position requires effective communication and collaboration with both the internal drafting team and the Manufacturing Team to clarify information and address any issues or discrepancies that may arise during the drafting process. Adhering to established procedures and standards for production drawings is essential, as is the ability to develop solutions to technical and design problems based on Rise Modular's fabrication methods and practices. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years of relevant drafting experience in commercial or residential settings, with proficiency in Revit and Bluebeam. Experience in wood framing construction is preferred, along with a strong technical aptitude and a willingness to learn.
