About the position

The Engineering Drafter is responsible for collaborating with manufacturing and design engineers to create drawings, document packages, and bills of materials. This role requires problem-solving skills and effective communication, with a strong emphasis on attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Create preliminary design sketches for conceptual analysis
• Collaborate with manufacturing team and engineers to find creative solutions
• Create engineering drawings and designs for production and manufacturing
• Create design specifications, documentation, and material lists
• Estimate material and production costs for designs
• Prepare complete documentation packages to schedule

Requirements

• 1 year of experience in a related role preferred
• Firm foundation in drawing creation, computer-aided design (CAD), and general computer skills
• Proven communication skills at all levels of a manufacturing organization
• Strong knowledge with 3D modeling software, Autodesk Inventor preferred
• Ability and desire to work in-person, not a remote role
