About the position

System One is currently seeking a Drafter for an 18-month contract-to-hire position located in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. This role is essential for supporting various drafting projects, particularly in the energy sector. The Drafter will be responsible for creating detailed drawings and plans using AutoCAD, with a focus on 2D designs. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of drafting experience, preferably with a strong background in AutoCAD. Additionally, being an AutoDesk certified professional is highly preferred. Experience in designing road improvement projects or utility relocations will be considered a significant advantage. This position offers a competitive pay rate of $26 per hour and provides an opportunity for long-term employment after the contract period.

Responsibilities

• Create detailed 2D drawings and plans using AutoCAD.
• Collaborate with engineers and project managers to understand project requirements.
• Assist in the design of road improvement projects and utility relocations.
• Ensure all drawings comply with industry standards and regulations.
• Review and revise drawings based on feedback from team members.

Requirements
