About the position

Join our dynamic team as an Engineering Technician, where you will have the opportunity to support Transmission and Substation Engineers with essential drafting work. In this role, you will primarily focus on larger capital spend substation projects, with the scope of projects being ever-changing. Your contributions will be vital in ensuring that engineering designs are accurately represented and that project specifications are met. You will work closely with engineers to understand project requirements and translate them into detailed drawings and plans using AutoCAD. This position requires a strong attention to detail and the ability to adapt to shifting project needs, making your role crucial in the successful execution of engineering projects. As an Engineering Technician, you will be responsible for creating and modifying engineering drawings, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. You will also assist in the preparation of project documentation and may be involved in site visits to gather information necessary for drafting. This is a contract position with a duration of 18 months, and it is fully on-site in Topeka, Kansas. The work environment is collaborative, and you will be part of a team that values adaptability and support for one another.

Responsibilities
