About the position

The Drafter position involves working closely with the engineering team to design, document, detail, and record projects related to custom equipment. The role primarily focuses on creating part and assembly drawings, as well as Bill of Materials (BOMs) for various industrial applications. The ideal candidate will have experience in SolidWorks and CAD, with a strong emphasis on attention to detail and effective communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Create part drawings, assemblies, layouts, and BOM's for custom equipment.
• File and drawing management and organization.
• Keep projects moving forward.
• Occasional travel to see customers/projects.

Requirements

• 5 years of experience in the field or a Bachelor's degree with some industry exposure.
• SolidWorks and/or CAD experience.
• PDM experience is a plus.
• Ability to interpret P&IDs and schematics is a plus.
• Enthusiastic team member with honesty and scientific approach.
• Technically astute, mechanically inclined, and attention to detail.
• Organized and able to efficiently react to changes and questions.
• General understanding of plastic materials for industrial applications.
• Self-motivated and quick to get the job done.
• Proactive verbal and written communication skills.
• Fluent in Microsoft Office, strong with Excel.
