About the position

The AutoCAD Drafter position at MasTec Utility Services involves creating technical drawings for the Natural Gas Distribution Industry using CAD software. The role requires collaboration with engineers and field personnel to generate accurate digital drawings based on design specifications, ensuring that all installations are documented correctly. Responsibilities

• Create technical as-built drawings in a Natural Gas Distribution system using CAD software.
• Measure installed pipe and fittings and communicate with field staff to ensure all installations are captured.
• Work with office staff to ensure accurate billing.
• Maintain and submit production reporting to the customer, both weekly and monthly.
• Provide general IT and networking assistance.

Requirements

• 2 years or more experience with Utility Drafting / Technical School training.
• Basic understanding of Distribution Pipeline Systems.
• Natural Gas background required.
• Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record.
• Ability to remain outside for extended periods and walk extended distances.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Software (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Good mechanical aptitude and communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to create and maintain reports.
