About the position

As a Drafter at ENTRUST Solutions Group, you will play a crucial role in drafting electrical designs and maintaining accurate records of field assets within Electrical Distribution Systems. This position requires you to work in a simulated live electrical environment using the Small World application on a daily basis. You will be responsible for reading and understanding project specifications, procedures, and requirements to ensure that your work aligns with project goals. Proficiency in project-specific CAD software and associated applications is essential, and you will be expected to gain this proficiency quickly. In addition to drafting, you will be involved in quality assurance processes, incorporating feedback into your daily production to ensure high-quality work output. Identifying problems in source material and communicating with project members for resolution is a key responsibility. You will also interface with team leads to ensure consistency in project specifications, standards, procedures, and techniques. Meeting project targets and quality expectations within the first 90 days of hire is a critical goal, and ongoing proficiency in assigned hardware and software will be necessary. Participation in training programs to acquire knowledge of applicable specifications and procedures is also expected.

Responsibilities

• Draft electrical designs and maintain accurate records of Electrical Distribution Systems' field assets.
• Read and understand project specifications, procedures, and requirements as necessary.
• Become proficient in the utilization of project-specific CAD software and associated applications.
• Gain proficiency in all project QA Tools and resolution of QA errors as required.
• Incorporate quality feedback into daily production processes to ensure high-quality work output.
• Identify problems on Source Material and inform appropriate project members for assistance in their resolution.
• Meet all project targets and quality expectations within 90 days of hire and ongoing after that.
• Interface with team leads to ensure consistency in project specifications, standards, procedures, and techniques.
• Develop ongoing proficiency on assigned hardware/software and participate in applicable training programs.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Basic knowledge of Computer Aided Drafting (CAD) with AutoCAD and/or MicroStation software is desirable.
• Basic skills in Computer Assisted Drawing and Design with knowledge of Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop is desirable.
• Strong working knowledge of general computer applications including Windows and Microsoft Office products, specifically Word and Excel.
