The Draftsman position at Barnhart Crane & Rigging involves creating detailed drawings and documentation for heavy lift and specialty rigging gear. Responsibilities

• Obtain knowledge of Barnhart heavy lift and specialty rigging gear through On-Job Training.
• Take precise measurements of existing equipment for drawing and documentation purposes.
• Create rigging and equipment layout drawings for field use.
• Create detailed fabrication and machining drawings for newly fabricated equipment.
• Interface between Engineers and the Fabrication Department or outside contractors.
• Create Load Test certificates.

Requirements

• Experience with AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor.
• Strong communication skills.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and MS Word.
• Mathematical skills and reasoning ability.
• Knowledge of Finite Element Analysis is a plus.
