Responsibilities

• Obtain knowledge of Barnhart heavy lift and specialty rigging gear through on-job training.
• Take precise measurements of existing equipment for drawing and documentation purposes.
• Create rigging and equipment layout drawings for field use.
• Create detailed fabrication and machining drawings for newly fabricated equipment.
• Interface between engineers and the fabrication department or outside contractors.
• Create load test certificates.

Requirements

• Entry-level position with a focus on learning and development.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to perform mathematical calculations and reasoning.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Analysis skills, with Finite Element Analysis (FEA) as a plus.
