About the position

The Draftsman / CAD Detailer will play a crucial role in creating detailed shop drawings for Dimension Stone projects. This position requires a skilled individual with a strong commitment to precision and expertise in drafting, who will collaborate with architects and engineers to ensure that all designs meet project specifications and standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed shop drawings and shop tickets using CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and designers to understand the requirements of the project.
• Ensure all the drawings and designs meet the required specifications and standards.
• Review and revise drawings and layouts to accommodate changes and enhancements.
• Maintain and update the existing drawings and records for future reference.
• Check dimensions, materials to be used, and quantities for accuracy.
• Continuously learn and apply new drafting techniques to improve efficiency and quality of work.
• Stay up to date with new drafting software and technology advancements.

Requirements

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Drafting, Engineering, or a related field
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, or other relevant CAD software
• Understanding of drafting techniques and engineering concepts
• Familiarity with building codes and compliance requirements
• Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings
• Experience with 3D modeling and visualization
• Strong mathematical skills
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Knowledge of construction methods and manufacturing / fabrication processes
• Ability to create detailed drawings that meet project specifications and standards
• Experience in creating Bill of Materials (BOM)
• Experience as a draftsman or in a similar role
• Ability to solve problems and make necessary corrections to designs
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Capacity to work on multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
