About the position

At EPX Group, we install generators, batteries, solar, and microgrids at a high volume. We are looking for a Designer/Drafter with possible experience in Permit Processing to aid in the development of construction documents for permits. In this role, you will collaborate closely with our Design Team Manager and Operations Manager to design solar, battery, and other power generation systems. Your responsibilities will include the development of plan set drawings, processing permitting applications, and researching local codes and standards. This position is not strictly a desk job; depending on the volume and your experience, fieldwork may be required. This could involve dropping off and picking up plans from the Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ), completing pre-site assessments prior to design completion, and optionally attending inspections when applicable. Please note that this is an in-office position located in Temecula, CA, and remote work is not an option. A reliable phone is a must for this role.
