About the position

B&C Steel Corporation is seeking an experienced Metal Building Detailer/Checker to join our team. This full-time position is primarily focused on detailing metal buildings and may involve reviewing the work of others before it is sent to our fabrication shop. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 4 years of experience in the field, demonstrating a strong proficiency in metal building detailing and design. This role is not entry-level; therefore, candidates should possess a solid understanding of metal building design, detailing, and construction processes. While remote work is possible, preference will be given to candidates willing to relocate to Western Nebraska. In this position, you will utilize Metal Building Software (MBS) and AutoCAD to create detailed drawings that adhere to project specifications and design plans. You will be responsible for checking and reviewing drawings for accuracy and compliance with both company and industry standards. Collaboration with the fabrication shop is essential to ensure that production processes are accurate and efficient. Additionally, you will provide support and guidance to junior drafters, maintaining a high standard of quality and attention to detail in all work. Your role will also involve reviewing designs for errors before final production and contributing to the overall design and build processes.

Responsibilities

Requirements

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in metal building detailing.

• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Experience checking and reviewing drawings is a plus.
