About the position

The Draftsman position at Benedettini Cabinets involves interpreting architectural and hand-drawn plans, drafting production shop drawings, and coordinating with project salesmen to ensure successful project completion. The role requires proficiency in Cabinet Vision Solid software and entails creating and modifying drawings, managing multiple jobs, and ensuring adherence to company standards in cabinetry construction.

Responsibilities

• Successfully completes training to become knowledgeable of the cabinetry industry and cabinet construction processes.
• Creates and modifies drawings in Cabinet Vision Solid for customer presentations on a daily basis.
• Runs various reports and reviews drawings to ensure they meet Benedettini standards.
• Develops construction plans for custom cabinets.
• Operates Cabinet Vision Software, Insight, and Microsoft applications.
• Produces a minimum of 120 boxes per day with a draftsman error rate below 2%.
• Manages multiple jobs at various stages in the process.
• Interprets initial and revised drawings from salesmen and translates them into Cabinet Vision Software.
• Places correct CAD notes to transfer information through various shop departments appropriately.
• Evaluates accessory placements for proper fit and operation.
• Completes drafting checklists and ensures all selections are correct before inputting them into Insight.
• Works with the estimating department to develop cabinet floor plans for builders on a daily basis.
• Follows all safety policies and procedures.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or G.E.D certification.
• Minimum of 6 months of AutoCAD courses.
• Associates degree or completion of a technical trade school in CAD, drafting, or a related field.
• Ability to pass company drug screen and background check.
