About the position

Deck Remodelers is seeking a Draftsman to join their team, responsible for creating detailed technical drawings and plans based on specifications from design and engineering teams. This role is critical in translating concepts into precise designs that meet client needs, ensuring high accuracy and attention to detail in all work produced.

Responsibilities

• Develop and prepare detailed drawings and plans using SketchUp and CAD software.
• Work closely with the Project Development team to ensure drawings and models meet project specifications.
• Revise drawings as needed based on feedback from Project Development Manager.
• Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail in all work produced.
• Collaborate with team members remotely to ensure deadlines are met.
• Stay updated on industry trends and software advancements to ensure the use of best practices in drafting.

Requirements

• Proficiency in SketchUp Pro and CAD software is mandatory.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in drafting, preferably in an architectural or engineering setting.
• Strong understanding of technical drawing standards and practices.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to produce accurate work.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a remote team environment.
• Self-motivated and able to manage time effectively in a part-time role.
• Reliable internet connection and a suitable remote working setup.

Nice-to-haves

• Very Proficient in Sketchup
• Experience in 3D modeling and rendering.
• Familiarity with other design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit).
