About the position

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Drafter with expertise in structural steel detailing to join our team. The ideal candidate will have proficiency in SolidWorks and related design software, along with excellent problem-solving skills. This role involves preparing detailed shop drawings, material takeoffs, and ensuring compliance with industry codes and standards while collaborating closely with fabrication teams and project managers.

Responsibilities

• Review contract documents, drawings, and specifications to prepare detailed shop drawings.
• Create material takeoffs and ensure compliance with codes and standards.
• Collaborate with fabrication teams and project managers to ensure designs meet specifications and project requirements.
• Identify and resolve issues during the detailing process to maintain project progress.

Requirements

• Minimum 3-4 years of experience in structural detailing.
• Proficient knowledge of SolidWorks and AutoCAD software.
• Sound understanding of structural engineering principles and steel fabrication processes.
• Familiarity with AISC Code of Standard Practice and AWS.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in handling complex design projects.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
